ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Paralegal II, Litigation to join our Legal team at Lyft. This role will involve conducting investigations, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and helping to maintain efficient and organized legal operations. As a self-starter with a positive attitude, you will take ownership of projects and work collaboratively with others to achieve our goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Paralegal II, Litigation, you will be responsible for assisting in-house counsel with administrative tasks, pre-litigation and litigation matters, and responding to legal requests. Your duties will include conducting deep-dive fact investigations, preparing memoranda and summaries of factual research, coordinating document collection and e-discovery workstreams, and liaising with internal and external counsel. You will also work cross-functionally with partners outside of Legal to gather facts and information and improve processes. Additional responsibilities may include responding to consumer complaints, managing small claims court cases, and handling diverse special projects for in-house attorneys.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant legal experience, including administrative, legal, operations, and project management experience. You should have experience handling discovery in complex litigation matters and be comfortable working with a high volume of information. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships and operate in a fast-paced environment. You should be proficient in using new technology and have experience working in a Mac environment, specifically with Google Apps, Slack, Excel, and Word.
WHY REMOTE
Unfortunately, this role is not fully remote. However, we do offer a hybrid schedule, where you will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This will allow you to work collaboratively with your team and participate in our company culture. You will also have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $88,000 - $110,000, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
