OVERNIGHT SHIFT Retail Merchandiser

ABOUT THE ROLE Bass Pro Shops is looking for a dedicated Overnight Shift Retail Merchandiser to join our distributed operations team. In this role you will partner with on‑site overnight supervisors and inventory control specialists to keep our stores running smoothly while customers shop. You will be the critical link that allows sales staff to focus on delivering legendary customer service by ensuring product availability, visual appeal, and accurate pricing across all departments. This position is fully remote, enabling you to support multiple stores from any location while maintaining a flexible schedule that aligns with overnight store hours. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will analyze real‑time inventory data and coordinate replenishment plans for fishing, hunting, camping, marine, apparel, footwear, and gift lines. You will collaborate with the Inventory Control team to conduct on‑demand counts, verify empty peg status, and confirm display integrity through digital tools. You will execute temporary and permanent price changes, updating tags, signage, and inventory records in the central system. You will manage recovery tasks such as folding, repackaging, sorting, facing, and re‑hanging, ensuring each department meets visual merchandising standards. You will support visual merchandising by updating fixture replacements, end‑cap displays, and mannequin setups, and you will maintain planograms across all hard‑line areas. You will assist with omni‑channel fulfillment during peak periods, ensuring online orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped. You will provide exceptional customer service through live chat, email, and phone support, resolving any overnight issues that arise. You will perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall operational excellence of the store. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You have at least one year of experience in a retail or customer‑service environment, preferably within outdoor or sporting‑goods merchandising. A high‑school diploma or equivalent is required, and familiarity with planograms and visual merchandising tools is highly valued. You possess strong analytical skills to identify and replenish out‑of‑stock or low‑stock items quickly. You are comfortable using inventory management software, POS systems, and collaboration platforms such as Slack or Microsoft Teams. You can work independently, use sound judgment, and communicate clearly with on‑site staff and corporate teams. Experience in an outdoor lifestyle or related field, and knowledge of Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s products, is an asset. You must be available to support overnight store hours on a rotating schedule.
