ABOUT THE ROLE Specsavers is looking for a dedicated Optometrist to join our Townsville Aitkenvale clinic on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role involves delivering comprehensive eye care in a modern 4‑room clinic equipped with industry‑leading technology, including OCT, IPL, Humphrey Field Analyzer, auto‑refractor and auto‑phoropter. You will work alongside a supportive team of five optometrists, serving a diverse patient demographic. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will conduct thorough eye examinations, diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions, and provide appropriate treatment plans. Your responsibilities include using advanced diagnostic equipment, maintaining accurate patient records, and contributing to community outreach initiatives. You will also participate in continuous professional development and attend the annual Specsavers Clinical Conference. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A valid Optometrist registration, strong clinical skills, and experience with OCT, visual field testing, and contact lens fitting. Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities are essential. A commitment to ongoing learning and a passion for improving eye health in the community will help you thrive in this role.
