Operational Risk Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking an experienced Operational Risk Manager to join Monzo's Risk & Compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business in rolling out and embedding core elements of the risk management framework, with a focus on operational resilience, financial processes, investment / wealth products, and regulatory projects. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for building and supporting the implementation and day-to-day management of the operational risk management framework. This will include: - Providing oversight and challenge to the first line of defence - Overseeing and reviewing change activity - Investigating risk incidents - Supporting risk assessments - Completing risk assurance activity - Conducting in-depth reviews of different areas of the business - Reviewing and assessing changes to operational processes - Analysing Operational Risk data to provide insights and identify trends and risks - Promoting and embedding a strong risk culture throughout the organisation WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - Experience working in a second line of defence role in banking, financial services or risk consultancy - Knowledge of operational risk regulatory requirements and operational resilience - Knowledge of wealth and investment products and services - Knowledge of finance operational processes - Experience conducting risk oversight and providing support and challenge to the first line of defence - Experience analysing risk data and reporting findings to senior stakeholders - Strong influencing, stakeholder management and execution skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills WHY REMOTE Monzo is a remote-friendly organisation, and this role can be performed from anywhere in the UK. We offer a competitive salary of £59,500 - £74,000, plus incentive awards tied to your performance and a range of benefits.
