On the Ground Specialist (Contractor)

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a highly motivated On the Ground Specialist to join our Retail Go-To-Market Operations team at Instacart. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational success of our Caper Carts in retail stores. This is a temporary contractor role for up to 3 months, with the possibility of extension, and offers a unique opportunity to impact our operations at the grassroots level. WHAT YOU'LL DO In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for planning and launching new pilots, supporting Caper operations in launched stores, and collaborating with our operations, product, and business teams to drive enduring performance. Your on-the-ground presence in partner grocery stores will be pivotal to our success. You will engage with store teams throughout the launch and implementation cycle of Caper, provide hands-on support, and identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges. You will also reinforce best practices, serve as a link between local store teams and broader strategic operations, and oversee the execution of local initiatives and the rollout of new programs. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a passion for operations, a strong interest in e-commerce and retail technology, and experience in retail and/or client-facing roles. You should be able to multi-task, excel in a fast-paced environment, and handle technology challenges using guides and troubleshooting resources. You will also need to have exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to adjust messaging based on audience needs.
