Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at McBride (Caribbean) Limited, a leading household aerosol manufacturing company operating in 30 countries across the Caribbean and Latin America. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines and equipment. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting production line change overs and equipment setups Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults on production and ancillary equipment Performing planned preventive maintenance on all plant and equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule Conducting electrical fault finding, repairs, and minor installations on plant and equipment Completing and closing out work orders in the maintenance management system Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and plant improvement projects Performing fabrication works in support of repairs and projects Maintaining plant utilities and services, including compressed air systems Checking safety and emergency equipment to ensure functionality as scheduled Completing reports and process documentation Maintaining a clean and safe working area and adhering to site health, safety, and environmental procedures WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will require: A City & Guilds Technical Certificate or equivalent technical qualification from an accredited institution, with electrical certification preferred At least five years' experience in a similar capacity Knowledge of electrical equipment, industrial automation, and pneumatic controls would be an asset Welding skills and experience in a flammable manufacturing environment would be an asset Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to be flexible and work overtime as required Ability to work effectively with others and independently WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, while still being part of a dynamic and growing team.
