Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE We're on a mission to make money work for everyone. As a Localisation QA Specialist at Monzo, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our localised product experiences. You'll help create and maintain the systems and processes that enable our language specialists to deliver high-quality translations, while also working closely with our Product and Engineering teams to identify and resolve issues. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Localisation QA Specialist, you'll be responsible for running and continuously improving the systems we use to quality assure Monzo's localised product experiences. This will involve working closely with our in-language Editors and Testers, Product and Engineering teams, and other localisation partners to ensure that translated experiences can be reviewed effectively in the live product. You'll also help create the structure and support that enables our language specialists to do their best work, removing testing friction, providing context, and improving coverage. Every day, you'll be running and maintaining our localisation QA processes, including coverage tracking, journey inventories, priorities, QA checks, severity levels, and reporting. You'll also be working closely with in-language Editors and Testers to help them review localised experiences efficiently and consistently. Additionally, you'll be creating and maintaining reusable test cases, playbooks, test recipes, deeplinks, and other resources that make complex product journeys easier to review. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need experience in localisation QA, software QA, internationalisation, language operations, or a related area. You'll also need to be comfortable testing mobile or web products and working through complex user journeys. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise testing based on customer impact and risk are also essential. You'll need to be confident working with Engineers, Product Managers, language specialists, and other stakeholders, and be comfortable investigating problems, reproducing issues, and gathering the information needed to help get them resolved.
