Lifeguard

ABOUT THE ROLE The City of Kamloops is seeking a Lifeguard to join their team. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of individuals using aquatic facilities. This is a permanent, on-call position that requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to respond to emergency situations. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Lifeguard, your primary responsibility will be to monitor the aquatic facilities and respond to emergencies. This may include performing rescues, administering first aid, and operating life-saving equipment. You will also be required to conduct regular safety inspections, enforce pool rules, and provide customer service to patrons. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a valid Lifeguarding certification, such as the Canadian Red Cross Lifeguarding certification. You will also need to be physically fit and able to respond quickly in emergency situations. Previous experience as a lifeguard is an asset, but not required. WHY REMOTE This is a permanent, on-call position that requires the ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. As a Lifeguard, you will be working in a fast-paced environment and will be required to make quick decisions in emergency situations.
