Lead Product Manager, Enterprise AI & Automation

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Product Manager, Enterprise AI & Automation to define and drive the strategic vision for AI and automation across Marqeta's internal enterprise platform and employee-facing tooling. This role will focus on identifying, governing, and scaling AI and automation to drive value across Marqeta's internal operations and employee experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Lead Product Manager, you will collaborate with business unit leaders, the AI Steering Committee, and BT engineering to design the AI vision for the enterprise, build governance and adoption frameworks, and work hands-on to evaluate tools, run pilots, and drive measurable business value. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaboratively defining Marqeta's Enterprise AI & automation strategy, including responsible AI principles, governance frameworks, and a multi-quarter adoption roadmap - Partnering across the business to identify and prioritize high-value AI and automation use cases for each business unit - Mapping work flows across the enterprise to identify where AI can deliver step-change improvements - Defining functional and technical requirements for all internal AI/automation platforms - Partnering with Architecture Review Boards and AI Steering Committee to ensure all AI platforms and solutions adhere to defined IT standards and governance frameworks - Designing and leading the Plan and Commit process with business stakeholders for AI and automation technology requests - Defining criteria for prioritizing automation projects and enhancements based on strategic alignment, risk reduction, ROI, and operational impact - Conducting feasibility assessments and cost-benefit analysis for proposed AI initiatives - Maintaining a visible backlog of active and pending AI and automation initiatives - Overseeing QA and UAT processes to ensure systems meet business requirements before deployment - Participating in sprint demos and providing feedback to ensure development meets defined acceptance criteria - Coordinating deployment windows to minimize business disruption and risks - Establishing hypercare programs for major system go-lives - Developing Business Systems Product Management competencies across the BT organization - Evaluating emerging AI technologies and conducting pilots to validate applicability and business value - Leading vendor selection and commercial negotiations in partnership with Procurement and relevant stakeholders - Staying current on the rapidly evolving AI landscape - Owning and executing the Enterprise AI rollout plan in partnership with Corporate Communications and Learning and Development - Driving change management for AI initiatives - Establishing and managing the internal AI organizational capability - Defining adoption metrics and post-launch stabilization plans for all major AI deployments - Designing and owning the Enterprise AI metrics framework - Reporting progress and outcomes to the senior leadership on a regular cadence - Establishing governance guardrails that balance innovation velocity with responsible, compliant AI use WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - 7+ years in IT product management, with at least 2 years focused on AI or emerging technology products - Strong understanding of AI and automation technologies and their applications in a business context - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Experience with product management methodologies and frameworks WHY REMOTE Marqeta is a Flexible First company, which means that this
