Lead Counsel, Global Public Sector
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced commercial attorney to join our growing legal team at Scale AI. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's international expansion and growth in the Global Public Sector business across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
In this role, you will be responsible for driving Scale AI's international expansion by enabling market entry and operations outside the US, particularly in support of the Global Public Sector team. You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with global entities, including Sovereign AI deals, master services agreements, and bespoke software development agreements. Additionally, you will manage complex public tenders as a prime, subcontractor, or consortium partner, counsel on privacy and emerging regulatory requirements, and design, implement, and iterate on policies and processes to manage legal and business risk.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a UK, common law, or EU legal qualification with substantial experience working on English law matters. You should have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience in the technology sector, preferably in a leading law firm, in-house, or government setting. You will need to have solid commercial and IP legal skills combined with strong business and technical acumen.
