ABOUT THE ROLE Zego is a fast‑moving fintech company that provides on‑demand insurance and risk management solutions to businesses worldwide. As the Interim Head of Finance in Gibraltar, you will lead the finance function during a critical growth phase, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic capital allocation. You will partner closely with senior leadership to shape the company’s financial strategy, drive operational efficiency, and support new product launches and market expansions. Your insights will directly influence the company’s ability to scale sustainably while maintaining regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. You will manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. You will lead the consolidation of financial statements, prepare management reports, and present findings to the board and investors. You will develop and implement financial policies, risk‑management frameworks, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with local and international regulations. You will collaborate with product, sales, and operations to embed financial discipline into new initiatives and pricing models. You will drive the adoption of advanced analytics and automation tools to enhance reporting accuracy and speed. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You will hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline, with an advanced qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred. You will have at least ten years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within fintech, insurtech, or high‑growth technology companies. You will possess deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, and regulatory reporting in multiple jurisdictions. You will demonstrate a proven track record of building and scaling finance teams, implementing robust controls, and delivering actionable insights to senior executives. You will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving change, and making data‑driven decisions in a fast‑paced environment. You will have excellent communication skills, able to translate complex financial concepts into clear, concise narratives for non‑financial stakeholders.
