HR Business Partner

ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an HR Business Partner to join Coinbase's People team, where you'll play a critical role in translating business strategy into people and org strategy. As a key partner to functional leadership teams, you'll own the full HRBP lifecycle for your client groups, driving data-informed people insights and influencing how Coinbase scales. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an HR Business Partner, you'll be responsible for: - Owning people programs and strategies for your client group, including performance management, compensation, talent development, engagement, and retention - Partnering with functional leaders on org design, workforce planning, and people strategies that support business objectives at scale - Leading coaching and counsel for leaders on professional development, career pathing, leveling, change management, and sensitive people situations - Driving data-informed people insights by analyzing trends and translating them into actionable recommendations for leadership - Building and applying HR policies with an eye toward compliance and risk reduction, managing employee relations issues across global teams - Strengthening cross-functional partnerships across People Team COEs to ensure cohesive delivery of people programs WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need: - 8+ years of experience in Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Recruiting Leadership, Talent Strategy & Operations, Consulting, Chief of Staff, or HR, with direct experience advising senior leaders on org and people strategy - A proven track record navigating complex stakeholder situations with sound judgment, including performance issues, restructures, and sensitive employee matters - Experience using people data (engagement surveys, attrition metrics, performance trends) to build recommendations and influence leadership decisions - A track record of designing and executing people programs end-to-end (e.g., performance cycles, talent reviews, org redesigns) with measurable business outcomes - High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information across all levels of the organization - The ability to utilize generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality WHY REMOTE Coinbase is a remote-first company, with quarterly in-person working sessions called "surges" where you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues in person.
