ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Handyman to join our team at Chickmont Foods Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Production Plant's facilities, performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our operations. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Handyman, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including: - Performing basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties - Making repairs to equipment such as dolleys - Maintaining tools and equipment, including ladders, knives, and scissors - Cleaning and inspecting equipment, including insectocutors, drains, and wells - Assisting with vehicle maintenance, including tyre changes and washing of trucks - Performing pressure washing and basic repairs to roofing and doors - Installing and repairing faucets and taps - Assisting Maintenance Technicians with their duties - Performing basic masonry and using workshop tools - Lubricating equipment and replacing bathroom lights - Erecting scaffolding and maintaining the workshop WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Strong hands-on skills and ability to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks - Experience in carpentry, plumbing, and painting - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic knowledge of workshop tools and equipment - Physical stamina to perform manual labor WHY REMOTE This is a remote position, and you will be working independently to complete tasks and projects.
