Growth Marketer (Ocean)

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a Growth Marketer to join Ocean, a consumer membership that makes online shopping effortless. As a key member of our early-stage team, you'll be responsible for driving growth and owning the entire member funnel, from acquisition to retention. You'll have a high degree of ownership and influence on how Ocean grows, working closely with our founders to develop and execute strategies that move the needle. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Growth Marketer at Ocean, your primary responsibilities will include: - Owning the full funnel, defining, instrumenting, and obsessing over our funnel metrics at every stage: acquisition, signup, activation, engagement, and retention. - Running a relentless experiment engine, generating hypotheses, prioritizing them, shipping tests, reading the results honestly, and compounding the wins. - Building lifecycle marketing, designing and managing our SMS and email workflows end to end to complement the customer journey. - Standing up paid acquisition to enhance results, building and scaling paid funnels when required. - Closing the loop on measurement, ensuring tracking and attribution are clean enough to trust the decisions you're making on top of them. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you'll need: - Direct experience driving growth in a D2C / ecommerce environment, with a deep understanding of how shoppers behave and convert. - A track record of owning a funnel and moving the metrics with a high degree of independence. - Fluency with lifecycle tooling (email/SMS platforms) and paid acquisition (Meta and similar). - Genuine analytical skills, comfortable in the data, fluent in cohorts, CAC/LTV, conversion, and retention, and able to turn analysis into action. - A builder's bias, preferring to ship a test this week than perfect a plan for next quarter. - Scrappy and self-directed, thriving with ownership and ambiguity in an early-stage environment.
