Anthropic
Global Power Delivery Equipment Lead
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Anthropic is building the next generation of safe and interpretable AI systems, and the power that drives those systems is as critical as the code itself. As Global Power Delivery Equipment Lead you will own the end‑to‑end strategy for procuring and deploying the heavy‑lift power assets that sustain Anthropic’s expanding data‑center footprint worldwide. You will shape the global equipment portfolio, forge relationships with OEMs, utilities, and development partners, and translate the company’s energy pipeline into a coherent, scalable sourcing plan that balances conventional gas‑based generation with innovative solar‑dominated, off‑grid solutions. Your work will directly influence the speed, reliability, and sustainability of Anthropic’s infrastructure, ensuring that every site has the right power equipment on time and on budget.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will negotiate master purchase agreements and framework contracts for critical power equipment, including gas turbines, reciprocating engines, transformers, switchgear, solar PV, and battery storage systems. You will secure and manage OEM manufacturing slots, oversee capacity reservations, and coordinate allocation across all regions to meet project timelines. You will build and maintain senior‑level relationships with OEM headquarters and regional leaders, ensuring capacity expansion and allocation commitments align with Anthropic’s global strategy. You will develop and maintain a real‑time equipment pipeline view, translating site and energy pipeline data into procurement forecasts and lead‑time risk assessments. You will collaborate with energy origination, engineering, demand planning, construction, legal, and finance teams to align equipment strategy with local code, grid requirements, and commercial terms. You will lead proactive supply‑chain monitoring, develop contingency plans for volatility, and drive programmatic sourcing initiatives that leverage joint or pooled orders across multiple sites and partners.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You have at least ten years of experience in power equipment procurement or supply‑chain leadership for large‑scale energy projects, with a deep understanding of gas turbines, transformers, switchgear, solar PV, and battery storage systems. You possess a proven track record of negotiating complex master purchase agreements, securing OEM capacity, and managing multi‑million‑dollar budgets across multiple regions. Your analytical skills enable you to forecast equipment needs, assess lead‑time risks, and develop contingency strategies in volatile markets. You are an effective communicator who can translate technical and commercial requirements to OEM executives, utilities, and internal stakeholders, and you thrive in cross‑functional teams. Fluency in English and strong project‑management skills are essential, and experience with global data‑center power architecture is highly valued.
WHY REMOTE
Anthropic’s distributed culture empowers teams to work asynchronously across time zones, allowing you to collaborate with colleagues in the US, EMEA, and APAC from wherever you choose. Flexible scheduling ensures you can align with regional partners and OEM executives while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance. The remote model also supports a diverse talent pool, enabling you to bring the best expertise to the role regardless of geography.
BENEFITS
Health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents; a generous paid time off policy that includes personal and mental‑health days; a remote work stipend to support your home‑office setup; a learning budget for professional development; equity participation; and a comprehensive retirement plan with company matching.
