Global Alliance Lead, Microsoft

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled Global Alliance Lead to join our team at Fivetran, a leading provider of data integration and analytics solutions. As a key member of our Ecosystem team, you will be responsible for leading our strategic relationship with Microsoft, one of the world's leading technology and transformation partners. This is a senior individual contributor role that requires a deep understanding of the technology and business landscape, as well as exceptional relationship-building and strategic planning skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Global Alliance Lead, you will be responsible for owning our relationship with Microsoft end-to-end, from C-suite engagement to practitioner enablement and joint pipeline creation. Your key responsibilities will include: * Developing and executing a multi-year joint strategy that positions dbt and Fivetran as the default analytics engineering and transformation layer within Microsoft's Fabric and Azure data ecosystem * Building trusted relationships with Microsoft's Fabric, Azure, and field leadership across sales, product, and engineering teams * Representing dbt and Fivetran at Microsoft's internal forums, customer briefings, and industry events, articulating a compelling narrative around trusted data transformation and AI-ready data on Microsoft * Driving key product milestones forward in partnership with dbt Labs' product and engineering teams * Working with Microsoft's Fabric CAT and engineering teams to embed dbt into standard Microsoft reference architectures, solution patterns, and customer-facing platform narratives * Ensuring dbt and Fivetran is positioned as cross-platform but Azure-aligned, supporting Fabric, Snowflake on Azure, and Databricks on Azure so Microsoft can win regardless of customer platform preference * Building and running a structured enablement program for Microsoft field teams globally, including Fabric specialists, cloud specialists, and sales teams WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: * A deep understanding of the technology and business landscape, including data integration, analytics, and cloud computing * Exceptional relationship-building and strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex strategies * Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling narrative around trusted data transformation and AI-ready data on Microsoft * Experience working with large technology companies, including Microsoft, and a deep understanding of their products and services * A proven track record of driving key product milestones forward and working with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere and will be part of a global team that values collaboration, innovation, and customer success.
