In this role you will collaborate with store leaders, supply chain, and marketing teams across the country to ensure that every product meets our high standards for quality, presentation, and availability. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Develop and execute merchandising plans that align with corporate strategy and local market demand. - Analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer feedback to recommend product mix adjustments and promotional opportunities. - Coordinate with store managers to schedule and oversee restocking, zoning, and visual merchandising activities, ensuring timely completion and compliance with safety standards. - Lead virtual training sessions for associates on product knowledge, pricing updates, and merchandising best practices. - Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as sell‑through, markdowns, and inventory turnover, providing actionable insights to senior leadership. - Manage cross‑functional projects that improve supply chain efficiency, reduce shrinkage, and enhance the overall shopping experience. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Minimum of five years of progressive experience in retail merchandising or category management, preferably within a large national chain. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data‑visualization tools. - Demonstrated ability to influence and coach teams across multiple locations, using virtual collaboration platforms. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus. - Proven track record of driving results in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines. - Familiarity with Walmart’s merchandising systems (e.g., WMS, ERP) and a solid understanding of retail operations fundamentals. WHY REMOTE Our distributed culture empowers you to work from anywhere while staying connected to a high‑energy team that values autonomy and accountability. You will collaborate asynchronously using Slack, Teams, and shared dashboards, allowing you to balance work with personal commitments. Flexible scheduling means you can align your hours with peak business periods in Canada while maintaining a healthy work‑life balance. BENEFITS Competitive salary starting at $19.35 per hour, commensurate with experience. Health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents. Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and personal days. Monthly remote work stipend to support home office setup. Annual learning budget for professional development courses and certifications. Access to Walmart’s employee assistance program and wellness resources. This position offers the opportunity to shape the customer experience across Canada while enjoying the flexibility and support of a modern remote workplace.
