ABOUT THE ROLE The Western Downs Regional Council is seeking a skilled Ganger to contribute to the growth and development of the region. As a Ganger, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing community and council infrastructure, ensuring the liveability and environment of our region are preserved. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Ganger, you will provide high-level support to the Works Supervisor, undertaking construction and maintenance tasks. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing construction and maintenance tasks to ensure the sustainability of community and council infrastructure - Providing support to the Works Supervisor in undertaking leading roles - Collaborating with the team to achieve project goals and objectives - Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to OH&S guidelines and regulations WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - A relevant Certificate III in Civil Construction or the willingness to complete such qualification within a required timeframe - Equivalent related experience - Verification of Competency in the operation of various types of plant - OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card - Open 'LR' class drivers license or the willingness to obtain - Heavy Rigid (HR) Queensland Drivers Licence is desirable WHY REMOTE As a remote worker, you will enjoy flexible work arrangements and wellness programs designed to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
