Freelance Background Artist for YouTube Studio

ABOUT THE ROLE Newscape Studios is a leading creator of engaging content for a young audience, with over 10 million total subscribers across a dozen YouTube channels. Our content ranges from popular video games such as Fortnite and Minecraft to original animations. We are seeking a Freelance 2D Background Artist to join our team and contribute to the production of our animation channels. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Freelance 2D Background Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality environments and background props for our animation channels. Your tasks will include: - Maintaining an organized and efficient workflow - Finalizing environments and background props for full use in production - Meeting daily quotas during the production week - Creating approximately 25 environments per week - Adapting to a variety of styles and meeting the needs of the production team WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop - Strong understanding of composition, perspective, color theory, light, and form - Ability to adapt to a variety of styles - Excellent communication and listening skills - Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines - Attention to detail and consistency - Ability to work as part of a team WHY REMOTE This is a remote, work-from-home position, allowing you to work independently and manage your time effectively. As a Freelance 2D Background Artist, you will have the flexibility to work on your own schedule and contribute to our production team from the comfort of your own home.
