Fraud Strategy Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a seasoned Manager to lead our Fraud Strategy team at Stripe. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a critical role in safeguarding our rapidly expanding portfolio of money movement and money management capabilities from fraud. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Manager on the Fraud Strategy team, you'll be responsible for leading a high-performing team of fraud strategists in creating short, medium, and long-term strategies to prevent fraud while enabling growth on our expanding products like Treasury, Issuing, Capital, Crypto, and Stablecoins. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading a specialized team of fraud strategists and coaching them to perform at their best - Overseeing the team's execution across all critical decision points, from new user onboarding to offboarding and funds recovery - Partnering with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations, to develop and tune fraud prevention systems - Analyzing account activity and monitoring portfolio trends to identify opportunities for reducing potential fraud losses - Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams and financial partners - Driving innovative fraud strategies that scale across our products and embracing AI technologies to accelerate execution and improve fraud prevention outcomes WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you'll need: - 10+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Payments, or FinTech - Experience recruiting, developing, and managing high-performing teams - Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly in high-stakes situations - Decisive and open to learning, with a proven ability to collaborate and execute scaled and high-complexity projects cross-functionally - Champion for AI and automation, with a willingness to apply AI-powered tooling and automation to accelerate risk strategy work WHY REMOTE As a remote employee at Stripe, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic and fast-paced team.
