ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking a Financial Health Strategy Manager to join our team at Monzo. As a key member of our Financial Health team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting customers tackling tough financial situations. Our team's primary goal is to provide thoughtful support and practical options to those in need.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Financial Health Strategy Manager, you'll be responsible for guiding customers out of financial hardship and helping them find a fresh start and a clearer financial outlook. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering strategic changes that consistently lead to good customer outcomes while protecting Monzo's interests
- Working with analysts, product managers, engineers, and operations staff to implement proposed changes
- Analyzing the impact of recent changes and monitoring the overall portfolio performance using qualitative and quantitative data sources
- Supporting the growth and development of more junior team members
- Working with external partners to ensure they adhere to Monzo's standards and provide good customer outcomes
- Documenting and using data to ensure the execution of our strategy is in line with expectations with the right governance, control, and monitoring
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Experience working with external partners, including relationship management and auditing
- Experience in Collections and Recoveries strategies
- Understanding of the regulatory landscape, including CONC, SYSC, Consumer Duty, and the CCA (knowledge of equivalent EU regulatory frameworks is a plus)
- Leadership experience, directly or indirectly, and the ability to drive forward strategic projects
- Strong judgement and the ability to make trade-offs between what is desired and what is feasible
- A proven ability to gain approval for proposed business changes
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, risk, operations, and finance teams
- A collaborative, strategic problem-solving approach
WHY REMOTE
This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK, with ad hoc meetings in London. We offer flexible working hours and trust you to work enough hours to do your job well, and at times that suit you and your team.
