Facilities Planner

ABOUT THE ROLE Facilities Planner WHAT YOU'LL DO You will lead the planning, analysis, and coordination of facilities projects for military and OCONUS installations across the Indo‑Pacific Region. Your responsibilities include conducting space utilization studies, forecasting facility needs, and developing recommendations for design, construction, and sustainment. You will manage cost, schedule, risk, and resource optimization, preparing and reviewing estimates and site proposals for client approval. Working closely with senior leadership and clients, you will develop responsive plans and programs that align with current and future portfolio requirements, and recommend milestones for planning, design, and construction. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Minimum two years of experience in planning, coordinating, and managing Military Construction (MILCON) and Unspecified Minor Construction (UMC) projects, with a solid understanding of the Project Objective Memorandum (POM) process. You should have at least two years of experience communicating with installations on MILCON and UMC concepts, principles, techniques, and practices. Data analysis skills are essential; you will use data to refine plans and methods during the POM cycle. Experience working in the Pacific Region is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary for building complex data models, authoring formal studies, and delivering executive briefings. Knowledge of master planning, installation planning, facilities planning, and Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM) or equivalent civilian planning disciplines is required. A bachelor’s degree and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance are mandatory. Nice if you have: Experience with military or OCONUS facility planning, Lean improvement, or advanced data analysis. Ability to conduct comprehensive staff‑level planning, validate multi‑stakeholder requirements, and advocate for installation capabilities that support tenant command objectives. Experience identifying facility needs, resources, and problems, and providing analytical support to military and civilian leaders. Independent work skills, interpreting and applying policies and regulations to new situations. Collaboration with higher‑level commands such as United States Forces Japan, Indo‑Pacific Command, or Marine Forces Pacific. Secret clearance.
