ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at an Australian-based construction company. As a respected Tier 2 builder, we deliver high-quality construction projects across multiple sectors, including commercial, agecare, health, and residential. With a long history of excellence in the industry, we pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. WHAT YOU'LL DO As an Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting site visits to gather information, and conducting research on construction materials, equipment, and labor costs. You will prepare detailed cost estimates based on project plans, specifications, and cost information, and present these estimates to clients and project managers. You will also collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and monitor project costs to make adjustments as necessary. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you should have a solid understanding of construction methods and materials, as well as experience in cost estimating and project management. A bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is preferred, along with experience in the construction industry. Proficiency in cost estimating software and strong communication skills are also essential. You should have experience in tendering projects from a value of $5M to $20M plus.
