ABOUT THE ROLE
The Enterprise Sales Executive role at Datadog involves targeting and closing new business with the company's largest, most strategic customers and prospects. This position requires identifying the pain points organizations face when operating in or migrating to a cloud environment at scale and delivering the appropriate Datadog solution.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Enterprise Sales Executive, you will be responsible for prospecting into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. Key responsibilities include maintaining, building, and owning specific relationship maps for your territory, developing a deep comprehension of customers' businesses, and negotiating favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises. You will also handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory, demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges, and have an intuitive sense of necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of closing experience, with a mix of field selling within mid-market or enterprise. You should be driven, having met or exceeded direct sales goals of $1M+ with an average deal size of $100k+. Experience in working for an innovative tech company, preferably SaaS or IT infrastructure, is also required. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate methodology to prospect and build pipeline on your own, experience in selling into large Fortune 1000 companies, and the ability to win new logos.
