ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking an Enterprise Risk Analyst to join Monzo, a leading digital bank that's revolutionizing the way people manage their finances. As a key member of our risk management team, you'll play a vital role in helping us navigate the complexities of the financial landscape and make informed decisions that benefit our customers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Enterprise Risk Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing and communicating strategic risks to senior stakeholders, including the Group Chief Risk Officer, Executive Committee, and Board. You'll work closely with colleagues across Monzo to develop and maintain strategic risk oversight dashboards, which will provide critical insights into our risk profile. Your main focus will be on understanding and communicating strategic risks, supported by data insights, to help senior stakeholders make informed decisions.
You'll also support the development and implementation of Monzo's Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), which will involve setting up systems, guidelines, and processes to help us manage risk effectively. This may include improving our risk frameworks, delivering training, and running cross-risk projects.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including:
- Developing strategic risk oversight dashboards that combine internal business data with external macroeconomic signals
- Conducting thematic risk deep-dives on complex market developments, geopolitical events, or emerging structural shifts
- Supporting the operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF)
- Creating and maintaining user-facing documents and guidelines to support risk management processes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A background in economics or finance
- A couple of years of industry experience
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, practical insights
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders
- Experience working with external data, including macroeconomic data and Google Sheets
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
