ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Engineering Manager, Growth Products at Lyft, you will play a critical role in scaling and navigating the team's growth, focusing on acquiring and resurrecting riders and drivers efficiently to grow the business and balance the marketplace. You will be part of a dynamic team that handles critical infrastructure to execute, manage, and optimize growth campaigns for the entire company, while also managing the marketing tech stack for paid media attribution and campaign optimization, as well as the Lyft website.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving team execution by resolving blockers, mediating decision-making, and navigating ambiguity. You will maintain operational excellence through implementing best practices for observability, reliability, and on-call processes. Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams to define the team's strategic direction and roadmap, ensure technical excellence through architecture reviews, tech debt management, and engineering guidance, and maintain team health by creating and refining team processes, fostering a supportive team culture, and managing resourcing. You will also develop team member careers by matching them with opportunities, setting clear expectations, and providing timely feedback, and build relationships across engineering teams to share learnings, align on standards, and identify collaboration opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, at least 5 years in software development, and at least 3 years of experience with people management. Experience working on a growth-focused team/org and managing a diverse set of engineering roles, such as backend, web, mobile, and data, is a plus.
WHY REMOTE
This role is a hybrid position, requiring you to work in-office on a hybrid schedule, with the expectation to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. However, you will also have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
