ABOUT THE ROLE
FULLTRUCK is a leading provider of heavy‑duty vehicle solutions in South America, committed to delivering high‑quality service and innovative repair solutions. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Body Repair Technician to join our Quito team. In this role, you will play a key part in restoring both heavy and light vehicles to their pre‑accident condition, ensuring safety, functionality, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with our service managers, parts specialists, and quality assurance team to deliver repairs that meet the highest industry standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Inspect and assess vehicle damage on both heavy and light trucks, determining the scope of repair work required.
- Perform frame straightening, panel replacement, and structural welding using precision tools and techniques.
- Coordinate with parts suppliers to source OEM and high‑quality aftermarket components, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Apply paint and finish to match original vehicle specifications, ensuring seamless integration of repaired panels.
- Document repair processes, including measurements, materials used, and time estimates, for billing and quality tracking.
- Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers and service managers, providing clear, professional updates.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, sharing insights on repair efficiencies and new technologies.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Minimum of three years’ experience in automotive body repair, with a proven track record on both heavy and light vehicles.
- Proficiency in frame straightening, welding, and panel replacement techniques, including familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards, structural integrity, and paint systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently while maintaining high quality.
- Effective communication skills in Spanish and basic English for documentation and cross‑team collaboration.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to access service sites as required.
