ABOUT THE ROLE Territory Generation is a leading provider of reliable power solutions across remote Australian communities. As an Electrical Tradesperson in our Operations and Maintenance team, you will be integral to ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our natural‑gas and diesel‑fuelled power generation plants. You will apply your technical expertise to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, execute complex electrical modifications, and support the continuous improvement of our critical infrastructure. This role is based in Alice Springs, where you will work alongside a dedicated team of engineers and technicians to uphold the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Conduct routine and scheduled preventive maintenance on high‑voltage switchgear, transformers, and power distribution systems. - Diagnose and repair faults in generators, auxiliary systems, and control panels, ensuring minimal downtime. - Implement electrical modifications and upgrades to enhance plant performance and comply with evolving regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with plant engineers and safety officers to develop maintenance plans and troubleshoot complex electrical issues. - Maintain accurate maintenance records, generate detailed reports, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. - Participate in safety briefings, incident investigations, and emergency response drills to uphold a culture of safety. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - A valid Electrical Tradesperson licence with at least five years of recent experience in power plant or industrial electrical maintenance. - Proven knowledge of high‑voltage electrical systems, switchgear, and power generation equipment, particularly for natural‑gas and diesel platforms. - Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. - Familiarity with Australian safety standards, AS/NZS 3000, and plant-specific safety procedures. - Excellent communication skills, capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. - A proactive mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
