Director, Technical Product Marketing

ABOUT THE ROLE Okta is The World’s Identity Company, redefining the boundary of security as the era of autonomous technology begins. We're looking for a Director of Technical Product Marketing to lead and elevate this function across both Okta and Auth0, transforming Technical Product Marketing into a proactive, strategic engine that brings the "Okta Secures AI" opportunity to life for both enterprise and developer audiences. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Director of Technical Product Marketing, you will set the strategy for technical storytelling, demos, and product experiences across the Okta and Auth0 portfolios, moving the function from reactive request-handling to strategic, GTM-aligned impact. You will champion "show, don't tell" by leading the creation of demos, proof-of-concepts, and product experiences that prove value and differentiate us. You will also prove the "Okta Secures AI" story by building demos and proof points that show how Okta and Auth0 secure AI agents and agentic workflows. Additionally, you will reinvent how technical marketing gets built by championing AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate demo and content creation, scale output without scaling headcount linearly, and free the team for the highest-value work. You will lead, mentor, and grow a team of Demo & Experience Architects and Technical Content Specialists, hire, mentor, and develop talent while personally leading the most strategic initiatives. You will also influence the product roadmap, partner with Competitive Intelligence to integrate differentiated proof points into demos and technical storytelling, and align with the GTM Engine to integrate technical narratives with core positioning, campaigns, and go-to-market motions. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need 10+ years of experience in a technical product function (technical product marketing, product marketing, sales/solutions engineering, or product management) in SaaS/enterprise software, with 5+ years in people management preferred. You will need proven experience hiring, mentoring, and leading high-performing technical teams, while rolling up your sleeves to personally build demos and deliver strategic projects. You will also need deep, hands-on expertise building demos, proof-of-concepts, and product experiences that bring technical products to life and prove value to skeptical audiences.
