Director, Strategic Finance & Investor Relations

ABOUT THE ROLE At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. As a key leader on our Investor Relations team, the Director of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations will serve as a trusted partner to the CFO, CEO, and senior leadership. This role is the engine room of how Cloudflare tells its financial story to the public markets, translating one of the most differentiated technology platforms in the world into a clear, credible, and compelling investment narrative. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Director of Strategic Finance & Investor Relations, you will be the operational and analytical lead for Cloudflare's engagement with the public markets. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Owning the end-to-end quarterly earnings process, from press release and supplemental financial information to prepared remarks and Q&A preparation. - Partnering with the CFO and senior leadership to develop the company's guidance and owning the executive-facing materials that frame guidance decisions. - Leading the Q&A preparation process, including anticipating questions, suggesting answers, and preparing key stats and proof points. - Coordinating analyst callback programs and driving earnings materials validation to ensure consistency across all financial documents. - Serving as a primary point of contact for sell-side analysts and institutional investors, building and maintaining strong relationships with our covering analysts and shareholders. - Articulating the Cloudflare investment narrative, including our connectivity cloud strategy, Workers and Developer Platform story, and long-term financial model. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - A strong background in finance, with experience in investor relations, financial planning and analysis, or a related field. - Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear and compelling narratives. - Strong relationships with sell-side analysts and institutional investors, with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships. - Experience with financial modeling and forecasting, with the ability to develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial models. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
