ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptional Director, Strategic Finance to join Lyft's leadership team, reporting to the Head of FP&A. As a key partner across several critical business lines, this leader will drive strategic financial decision-making through advanced analytics, consumer tech expertise, and proven ROI frameworks.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Director, Strategic Finance, you will be responsible for leading comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for supported business leaders. You will partner directly with business leaders and executive leadership to develop and execute strategic finance initiatives and key investment decisions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for business leaders
- Developing and executing strategic finance initiatives and key investment decisions
- Driving forecast updates and quarterly business reviews with sophisticated analysis of business performance
- Building and maintaining advanced ROI frameworks across the business
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and growth through deep-dive analysis and competitive benchmarking
- Designing and implementing automated financial models and dashboards
- Driving scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decisions
- Managing the quarterly performance of the business
- Building, managing, and developing a high-performing FP&A team
- Establishing best-in-class financial processes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 12+ years of FP&A experience with at least 8+ years in technology companies
- Deep experience building and implementing ROI frameworks for customer acquisition, product development, expansion into new businesses, and support to business development teams
- Extensive track record of building and leading high-performing FP&A teams in fast-growth environments
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to boards, investors, and C-suite leadership
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with ability to translate complex financial concepts for diverse audiences
