ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team at Coursera. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of online learning and skills development. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Software Engineer at Coursera, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions that power our platform. You will work closely with our product and design teams to identify and prioritize features, and collaborate with our data science team to leverage insights and drive business outcomes. Your work will focus on building and maintaining our platform's core infrastructure, including our AI-powered features like Coach, Role Play, and Course Builder. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering. You should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in software development. You will be proficient in languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript, and have experience with cloud-based platforms like AWS or GCP. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be able to communicate complex technical ideas effectively.
