ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Director, Provider Operations to join our team at Oscar Health. As the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members, we are committed to creating a healthcare system that is more affordable, more accessible, and more human. The Director, Provider Operations will play a critical role in shaping the vision and strategy for provider operations and data functions, and designing processes that improve our capabilities in serving members and providers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Director, Provider Operations, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing Oscar's provider data management, contracting, and credentialing processes. This will involve providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the end-to-end provider data lifecycle, leading a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors, and establishing clear organizational structure and governance. You will also be responsible for architecting and implementing foundational processes and data models that allow the provider data and contracting infrastructure to scale seamlessly alongside the business.
You will work closely with partners and stakeholders cross-functionally to take ideas from vision to implementation, and will be responsible for championing the adoption of industry best practices to ensure all operational processes and internal tools are highly extensible, efficient, and integrated with modern technology stacks. You will also lead the team in surface-level and deep-dive diagnostics to identify data, process, and technology bottlenecks, and establish robust KPIs and monitoring dashboards to proactively flag operational issues.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree or 5+ years of operating experience, and 10+ years of work in operations, health insurance, data analysis, and/or consulting. You will also need 5+ years of experience building, coaching, and developing operational teams, as well as 5+ years of experience with network operations, provider data management, and contracting processes. Additionally, you will need 5+ years of experience designing and improving business processes for optimization, as well as standing up accompanying operating and technical procedures.
WHY REMOTE
This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in Atlanta, Georgia. You will be fully remote, but our approach to work may adapt over time, potentially involving a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area.
BENEFITS
The base pay for this role is $147,549 - $193,658 per year, and you are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.
