Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a seasoned leader to join our Financial Crime & Fraud Collective as the Director of Fraud. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in protecting our customers from fraud and ensuring their trust in our services. With a strong background in fraud risk management and strategy, you'll lead our Fraud & Disputes Risk team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and embed effective fraud controls and processes. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Director of Fraud, you'll be responsible for: - Leading our Fraud & Disputes Risk team and contributing to the wider Fraud & Disputes Group Leadership Team - Building and maintaining strong relationships with our Fraud Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams - Developing and implementing innovative fraud management strategies, leveraging the latest technologies to stay ahead of emerging trends and risks - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create a positive culture within our Fraud Group - Working across all product lines, including current accounts, business banking, borrowing, and wealth - Employing data-driven approaches to identify opportunities and solve problems WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Significant experience leading high-performing risk teams in a regulated and fast-paced environment - Deep knowledge of fraud regulations in the UK and EU - Ability to balance product-led mindsets with deep fraud risk expertise - Experience in prioritizing and developing innovative fraud management strategies - Strong understanding of the latest industry developments and emerging trends in the fraud landscape - Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to speak to and influence senior internal and external stakeholders - Proven track record of developing high-performing teams and using continuous feedback to drive tangible impact - Data-driven approach, with the ability to self-serve and use technology to solve problems WHY REMOTE This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK.
