Workato
Director, Field Marketing & Executive Engagement
Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Workato is seeking a high-performing Director, Field Marketing & Executive Engagement to design, run, and evolve how we engage customers, prospects, CIOs, and technology leaders in the field. This is a deeply hands-on role that requires running pilots, learning fast, and scaling what works. You will own field marketing programs and CIO engagement directly, designing them, running them, measuring them, and iterating quickly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As Director, Field Marketing & Executive Engagement, you will be responsible for:
- Running field marketing programs across segments and strategic accounts, including dinners, workshops, executive briefings, and pipeline-building events.
- Partnering closely with Sales to align every program against territory plans, account priorities, and active deal stages.
- Designing and executing programs that move deals forward by surfacing real qualification evidence from customer conversations.
- Establishing performance metrics that demonstrate contribution to pipeline and revenue, not just event counts or attendance.
- Ensuring programs across geographies operate as a unified, Sales-aligned go-to-market motion.
- Building and running CIO engagement programs that establish Workato as a strategic partner for enterprise AI governance before deals exist.
- Operating and evolving the San Francisco Executive Briefing Center (EBC) program, ensuring world-class experiences for strategic customers, prospects, and partners.
- Running executive dinners, roundtables, customer advisory sessions, and private workshops with senior technology leaders.
- Partnering with Workato executives to create meaningful engagement opportunities with CIOs and heads of enterprise architecture.
- Measuring executive engagement effectiveness through pipeline influence, deal advancement, and executive relationship depth.
- Building programs that strengthen customer relationships, increase platform advocacy, and cultivate champions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record of designing, running, and evolving field marketing programs that drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to establish and track performance metrics that demonstrate contribution to pipeline and revenue.
- Experience working with CIOs and senior technology leaders, with a deep understanding of their needs and priorities.
- A passion for innovation and a willingness to experiment and learn quickly.
