ABOUT THE ROLE
Twilio is redefining how businesses connect with their customers through cloud‑based communications APIs. As a Deal Desk Analyst, you will be the linchpin that turns sales opportunities into revenue‑generating contracts. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to evaluate, structure, and approve deals that align with Twilio’s pricing strategy, profitability targets, and compliance standards. Your analytical insights will help the company scale its global customer base while maintaining rigorous financial controls.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
You will review and analyze complex sales proposals, ensuring that pricing, discounts, and contract terms meet corporate guidelines and maximize profitability.
You will collaborate with Sales leadership to forecast deal pipelines, identify revenue risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
You will maintain the Deal Desk database, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting for executive dashboards.
You will support the implementation of new pricing models and promotional programs, translating business requirements into actionable deal configurations.
You will provide training and guidance to Sales representatives on deal desk policies, pricing rules, and contract nuances.
You will participate in cross‑functional projects to streamline deal approval workflows, leveraging automation tools and data analytics.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You have at least two years of experience in a Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Finance role within a SaaS or cloud‑technology company.
You possess strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools to extract insights from large datasets.
You understand SaaS revenue recognition principles, discounting strategies, and contract negotiation best practices.
You have excellent communication skills, able to translate complex financial concepts into clear guidance for non‑financial stakeholders.
You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field, and you are comfortable working in a fully remote, distributed team.
