ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Lead to drive the development and execution of procurement strategies for Anthropic's Data Center mechanical Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) footprint. This role will play a critical part in helping Anthropic achieve its ambitious scaling goals by owning end-to-end sourcing strategies for critical mechanical cooling infrastructure such as air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, CDUs, fan coil modules, rear door heat exchangers, and HAC units.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Strategic Sourcing Lead, you will be responsible for driving commercial negotiations and Master Purchase Agreements for critical mechanical infrastructure, auditing partner procurement schedules, and implementing frameworks for ensuring third-party data center partners and general contractors adhere to commercial equipment terms and technical specifications. You will also develop global inventory strategy, proactively monitor global supply chain volatility, and execute contingency plans to avoid critical project delays. Additionally, you will translate construction and capacity roadmaps into equipment forecasts and procurement pipelines, partner with Finance to optimize inventory and capital deployment strategy, and establish efficient return, repair, and replacement workflows with OEMs to restore failed equipment quickly.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will need 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement, with a track record of developing processes for forecasting, planning, and managing data center mechanical equipment for build-out and/or operations. You should be familiar with data center mechanical and cooling equipment, possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant domain, and have strong leadership and influencing skills.

Anthropic offers a location-based hybrid policy, requiring all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
BENEFITS
The annual compensation range for this role is $290,000 - $365,000 USD. We also sponsor visas and encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply, despite not meeting every single qualification.
