ABOUT THE ROLE
The Credit Risk Director, Business Borrowing will lead the development and implementation of credit and pricing strategies for Monzo's business lending products. This role will play a pivotal part in refining Monzo's credit and pricing strategies, particularly as new lending products are introduced to the market.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As the Credit Risk Director, Business Borrowing, you will lead a team of credit analysts and managers, designing and implementing credit and pricing strategies for business lending products. You will monitor the performance of existing strategies, iterate to improve them, and lead initiatives to improve credit underwriting, boost growth, and manage portfolio risk. You will also support the design and roll-out of new products and customer journeys, working closely with colleagues from engineering, marketing, product, risk, and control.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this role, you will have strong domain expertise in providing lending products to small businesses, a track record of leading analytical credit teams, and a deep understanding of how business lending works, including regulation and industry best practice. You will be passionate about customers and understand the role credit strategies and policies play in customer outcomes. You will have strong analytical and data capabilities, backed up by technical coding skills, and be comfortable balancing 'soft' information with hard data. You will also be a clear communicator, able to cut through complex problems and articulate decision points.

This role can be based in Monzo's London office, but we are open to distributed working within the UK. We offer flexible working hours, trusting you to work enough hours to do your job well.
