ABOUT THE ROLE As the Country Manager, Mexico, you will play a pivotal role in driving Adyen's growth and establishing the company as a thought leader in payments in Mexico. You will lead, empower, and grow a local team of managers and their teams focused on expanding Adyen's business with Mexico-based companies. This is an opportunity to shape and drive Adyen Mexico's strategy, align cross-functional teams, and foster a healthy and collaborative team environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Country Manager, Mexico, your key responsibilities will include: - Providing inspirational leadership to the local sales, account management, marketing, and operations organization in Mexico - Positioning Adyen as a thought leader in the local market through implementing the marketing and communication strategy in cooperation with Adyen's marketing and communications team - Scaling the organization to meet growth targets and capturing demand for Adyen's platform across segments, verticals, and offerings - Upskilling and developing your leadership team to capture opportunities and develop their own teams - Collaborating closely with the Regional HQ in São Paulo and global HQ in Amsterdam to ensure alignment on product demand and embed your team in Adyen's regional and global ways of working - Getting hands-on involved in the largest, most strategic deals, managing executive relationships, and helping the team get the deal over the finish line - Serving as a critical member of the LATAM regional leadership team and working hand-in-hand with counterparts based in Brazil - Embracing the ways of working within Adyen while bringing a fresh perspective on how to operate at scale WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - A seasoned senior leadership background with experience scaling an organization at speed - Proven experience managing managers and effectively driving and influencing change across an organization - Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to work independently while maintaining strong relations with other offices - Business proficiency in Spanish and English, with Portuguese being a plus - At least 15+ years of work experience in an entrepreneurial, technology-focused work environment - Relevant industry network and knowledge in Payment and/or Financial Services and/or Tech WHY REMOTE This role is based out of our Mexico City office, and we value in-person collaboration. However, as a remote role, you will have the flexibility to work independently while maintaining strong relations with other offices.
