ABOUT THE ROLE Procables de México is a leading supplier of electrical, industrial and construction materials in Latin America. We are looking for a skilled Cotizador to join our sales and technical teams and play a pivotal role in securing profitable projects and maintaining our competitive edge. In this position you will translate client requests into accurate, compelling price proposals, ensuring every quotation reflects the company’s quality standards and profitability targets. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Review and interpret client specifications and project requirements to determine scope and cost drivers. - Compile material, labor and logistics costs, and negotiate rates with a network of trusted suppliers. - Produce clear, timely quotations that align with pricing guidelines and margin expectations. - Validate profitability margins against company policies and flag any deviations. - Coordinate with technical and engineering teams to confirm feasibility and address any design or specification changes. - Track the status of quotations, follow up with the commercial team, and close deals efficiently. - Maintain and update the cost database and supplier catalogues to keep pricing information current. - Identify risks or potential cost overruns in early stages and propose mitigation strategies. - Continuously refine the quotation process to improve speed, accuracy and customer satisfaction. WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Minimum of two years’ experience in cost estimation, budgeting or quotation management within the construction or industrial materials sector. - Proven ability to integrate multi‑component costs and validate profit margins against corporate guidelines. - Strong relationships with suppliers and experience in price comparison and negotiation. - Excellent analytical, organizational and detail‑oriented skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data into clear pricing. - Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling, ERP or CRM systems commonly used in procurement and sales. - High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in cost engineering or supply chain is a plus. - Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
