ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a skilled Copy Editor to join Stripe's Narrative and Editorial team. As a Copy Editor at Stripe, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our marketing content across various formats, from blog posts and guides to emails and web pages. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we need a dedicated copy editor to help us achieve this goal. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Copy Editor, your primary responsibility will be to review and edit marketing content to apply our style guidelines and uphold our quality bar. You will ensure that all content reflects our voice and tone, is free of errors, and is engaging and accessible to our audience. In addition to editing content, you will also update and maintain our style guide, customize and refine AI writing and editing tools, and improve our operational processes to keep the Copy Desk running smoothly. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a copy editor across various channels and content formats. You should have a firm grasp of voice and tone and be able to adapt it across different formats. You should also have a passion for copy editing and a deep understanding of the importance and power of well-written prose. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Creative Writing, or a related field is required.
