Compute Country Lead, Canada

ABOUT THE ROLE The Compute Country Lead, Canada is a critical role at Anthropic, responsible for leading the company's compute strategy in Canada. This includes site selection, leasing, energy, financing, government relations and policy, community engagement, construction, and operations. The successful candidate will be accountable for bringing gigawatts of compute online in Canada. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Compute Country Lead, Canada, you will own the end-to-end strategy and coordination for Anthropic's compute build-out in Canada. This includes serving as the primary point of accountability for cross-functional workstreams, providing working leadership to the in-country cross-functional team, and representing Anthropic with government officials, utilities, energy providers, and other external stakeholders in Canada. You will also build and maintain relationships within the Canadian government and the energy industry to support site, power, and policy outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Canadian national with established links into government and the energy industry. You should be a structured thinker with a track record of learning new domains quickly and going deep fast. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be representing Anthropic to senior government, utility, and industry stakeholders. You should also have demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams without direct line authority. WHY REMOTE As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world while still being part of a global team.
