Compliance Advisory Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE Adyen is a leading financial technology platform that provides payments, data, and financial products to customers like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. As a Compliance Advisory Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our financial services, particularly within the payments, financial services, or FinTech industries. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Compliance Advisory Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the assessment and resolution of escalated compliance matters, working with internal teams to understand and analyze compliance risks, partnering with Commercial and First Line teams to identify and apply risk-based solutions, and assisting in developing compliance frameworks. You will also translate compliance challenges into clear, actionable next steps for internal stakeholders, help identify opportunities for automation and process improvements, and contribute to the enhancement of escalation frameworks and procedures. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have 4-8 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk function within a financial institution, regulatory body, payments company, audit firm, or financial crime investigation unit. You will also need a foundational understanding of integrity risks in the payments and banking sector, knowledge of AML/CFT and/or consumer compliance risks, and familiarity with regulatory and licensing requirements governing payment/e-money institutions. You should be motivated to develop deep subject matter expertise in compliance, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
