Chief of Staff, Policy

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief of Staff, Policy to support the Chief Policy Officer (CPO) at Lyft. This role will play a critical part in advancing our most important initiatives, driving operational effectiveness, and ensuring the Policy team operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will be a master of cross-functional leadership, a practiced decision-maker, and a determined problem solver. WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Chief of Staff, Policy, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations and strategic planning, including administrative approvals, task management, meeting schedules, and preparing materials for executives. You will also communicate priorities, activities, and results to the larger organization, ensure deliverables are met, and help build a successful and healthy organization. Additionally, you will develop a thorough understanding of Product, Operations, Legal, Finance, and overall strategic needs of the company, drive the priorities of the CPO, and serve as a strategic thought partner to the CPO and Public Policy leadership team. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to have 7+ years of experience in a combination of operations, product management, strategy, finance, consulting, government, or an equivalent field. You should be able to comfortably dive into any area of the business or product, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities. You will also need to be extraordinarily organized, attentive to detail, and committed to proactively ensuring the completion of all deliverables. WHY REMOTE This role is a hybrid position, requiring the successful candidate to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. However, the role will also involve remote work, allowing you to work from anywhere and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
