Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE GitLab is the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, trusted by more than 50 million users and half of the Fortune 100 to ship secure, high‑velocity software. At this pivotal moment, the revenue organization is scaling globally, and the Chief of Staff to the Chief Revenue Officer will be the linchpin that turns strategy into execution. You will partner closely with the CRO, the revenue leadership team, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence, orchestrate high‑impact initiatives, and maintain the agility required in a high‑growth environment. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape executive strategy, influence board discussions, and develop a clear path to senior leadership within a distributed, AI‑enabled culture. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will serve as the CRO’s trusted advisor, translating vision into actionable plans and ensuring alignment across the global revenue organization. You will lead the planning and execution of executive staff meetings, quarterly business reviews, and strategic planning cycles, providing insights that inform decision‑making. You will own the CRO’s goal‑setting framework, track progress, and drive cross‑functional resolution of complex business blockers. You will act as the CRO’s proxy in reviewing account plans, preparing briefing materials, and managing key customer and partner meetings, ensuring clear agendas and follow‑ups. You will collaborate with the CEO’s Chief of Staff, Sales Strategy & Analytics, Field Operations, Finance, and People teams to synchronize priorities and maintain a unified focus on revenue growth. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You bring 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic roles such as chief of staff, management consulting, corporate strategy, or revenue operations at high‑growth technology companies, with a proven record of delivering results in matrixed organizations. You possess executive presence and confidence in conversations with board members, C‑suite, and senior leaders, and you excel at translating data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. Advanced proficiency in Salesforce, business intelligence tools, and presentation software is required, along with a track record of building scalable processes that improve organizational efficiency. Your exceptional organizational, time‑management, and communication skills enable you to shift priorities quickly while maintaining control across multiple projects. You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience, and you are comfortable traveling as needed to support the CRO. WHY REMOTE GitLab’s fully distributed, asynchronous culture empowers teams to work from anywhere while maintaining high performance and collaboration. Flexible schedules allow you to align work hours with global partners and client time zones, ensuring that critical revenue initiatives receive the attention they need without compromising work‑life balance. The remote model supports a diverse workforce, fosters innovation, and removes geographic barriers, enabling you to focus on strategy and execution rather than commuting. BENEFITS GitLab offers comprehensive health coverage, a generous paid time off policy, a remote stipend, and a learning budget to support professional growth. Additional benefits include equity participation, retirement plans, and access to a global network of peers and mentors.
