ABOUT THE ROLE Coinbase is looking for a Chief of Staff to support the Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role you will act as a strategic partner, ensuring that the CHRO’s priorities are executed efficiently and that the People organization’s voice is amplified across the company. You will manage the operating rhythm for the leadership team, lead cross‑functional initiatives, and provide clear, executive‑ready recommendations and communications. WHAT YOU'LL DO You will own the CHRO’s weekly and quarterly leadership meetings, setting agendas, driving decisions, and tracking follow‑ups. You will lead critical initiatives on behalf of the CHRO, stepping in as her stand‑in when required. You will create compelling content—including meeting decks, organization‑wide emails, social media posts, and speaking materials—to amplify the CHRO’s messaging. You will proactively identify and resolve issues before they reach the CHRO, synthesizing ambiguity into clear recommendations. Finally, you will represent the CHRO’s interests across the organization, ensuring alignment and advancing People team priorities with cross‑functional stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL NEED You should have at least seven years of experience in management consulting, business operations, strategy, or a chief‑of‑staff role supporting senior executives. You must be able to distill complex, ambiguous topics into clear, executive‑ready recommendations and communications across multiple formats. A proven track record of driving cross‑functional initiatives from start to finish, managing multiple workstreams with accountability, is required. Knowledge of or enthusiasm for the crypto space is essential, and you should be comfortable using generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality while maintaining human oversight. WHY REMOTE Coinbase operates as a remote‑first company, with quarterly in‑person “surge” sessions. This role is fully remote, allowing you to collaborate with a global team while enjoying the flexibility of a distributed work environment. BENEFITS Base salary ranges from $212,330 to $249,800 USD annually, excluding equity and bonus. Total compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.
