ABOUT THE ROLE
vbs associates is a leading provider of specialized manpower solutions for the solar energy sector. We partner with manufacturers to deliver skilled production teams that drive efficiency, quality, and scalability across the entire solar cell manufacturing value chain. The Cell Production Specialist will play a pivotal role in aligning our workforce capabilities with client production objectives, ensuring that each shift meets or exceeds performance targets while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. This position is integral to our mission of accelerating the global transition to clean energy by delivering reliable, high‑quality solar cells to market.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coordinate the scheduling and deployment of production personnel across multiple client sites, ensuring optimal coverage and adherence to production quotas.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as yield, defect rates, and equipment uptime, and provide actionable insights to continuous improvement teams.
- Conduct regular training sessions and skill assessments for new hires and existing staff, reinforcing best practices in cleanroom protocols, material handling, and safety procedures.
- Serve as the primary liaison between client operations, quality assurance, and our internal resource management team, translating client requirements into executable staffing plans.
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends, forecast staffing needs, and recommend process adjustments that enhance throughput and reduce waste.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of staffing metrics, incident reports, and compliance records in accordance with ISO 9001 and client audit requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Minimum of three years of experience in solar cell manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, or a related high‑precision production environment.
- Strong understanding of cleanroom classifications, material flow, and equipment calibration specific to photovoltaic cell production.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple client priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or equivalent) and familiarity with production scheduling software.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality, with a track record of maintaining or improving compliance metrics.
