Catalog Operations Analyst II

ABOUT THE ROLE We're seeking a skilled Catalog Operations Analyst II to join our team at Instacart, a leading grocery delivery company. As a key member of our Catalog Operations team, you will play a critical role in driving end-to-end data quality and enrichment for health, nutrition, and meal-related attributes. Your expertise will help shape the customer experience and contribute to our mission of making grocery shopping effortless. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Catalog Operations Analyst II, you will be responsible for defining accuracy and coverage goals for critical attributes, designing and operationalizing Large Language Model (LLM) pipelines, and developing robust SQL analyses to monitor catalog health. You will also establish and refine taxonomies, attribute definitions, and normalization standards, and manage day-to-day execution with external vendors and data partners. Additionally, you will partner with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional teams to scope experiments, validate assumptions, and translate insights into roadmaps that elevate discovery, search relevance, and conversion for health and meal-oriented use cases. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in catalog/content operations, data operations, or data quality, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-scale data environment. You should have a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and familiarity with LLMs and prompt design are also essential. Experience operationalizing workflows with external vendors/BPOs or data providers, including SOPs, SLAs, and multi-step QA processes, is highly desirable.
