Captain

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a highly experienced Captain to oversee the safe operation of vessels over 150 in length, planning and execution of the exercise voyage plan in support of the Atlantic Undersea Test & Evaluation Center (AUTEC) at Andros Island, Bahamas. This is a critical role that requires a strong leader with excellent navigation and communication skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all crew and passengers, managing all crew assets to safely and effectively accomplish the exercise plan, navigating the vessel in a safe manner, and monitoring vessel position to ensure proper deployment of MK30 and MK39 targets and the recovery of exercise torpedoes. You will also communicate with range control, other range assets, crew and passengers, determine corrective action in the event of a system failure, and accomplish all post-mission debriefings and documentation. WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a USCG Master 100 Ton Oceans license, Radar, Bridge Resource Management, and STCW certifications and endorsements. You will also need intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to work alone or as part of a team are also essential. WHY REMOTE This role is based on-site at Andros Island, Bahamas, and requires frequent travel to and from the island. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
