ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team at RemoteOrNothing. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring all components necessary to support production or prototype builds, while also ensuring the best possible pricing, lead time agreements, resolution of quality issues, delivery, and inventory levels. WHAT YOU'LL DO Key responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist include: - Participating in decision-making for Materials Planning System (MPS) loading through proper materials sizing - Analyzing, maintaining, and executing Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) to ensure it meets the MRP requirements - Ensuring materials availability to support production per the Master Production Schedule through MRP execution, on-time delivery, and coordination of materials movement - Identifying and addressing materials supply issues, and eliminating materials liabilities for Jabil - Issuing Purchase Orders to suppliers, ensuring adherence to established agreements - Optimizing order management process to ensure effective communication with suppliers - Maintaining integrity of master data and purchasing planning parameters - Monitoring and improving supplier's delivery and quality performance - Resolving invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable - Providing inputs to drive and execute Jabil's commodity and pricing strategy - Minimizing materials freight expenses for Jabil - Monitoring and providing feedback on suppliers' performance on delivery, quality, and service WHAT YOU'LL NEED To be successful in this role, you will need: - Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and effectively present information - Ability to operate a personal computer, including using a Windows-based operating system and related software - Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages - Ability to write simple correspondence, read and understand visual aids, and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions WHY REMOTE As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, at any time, as long as you have a stable internet connection.
